Kraken

First of all, for all those who won't understand what it is - it's Octopus (Kraken) nebula just having his dinner (eating some planet).

Uh.. I rly don't know how I got this idea. But I dare to say, that this was the hardest thing I've ever done in photoshop (except typography portraits of course).

This is the second version. I left first version unfinished, because it drived me crazy and it just didn't look like I wanted, so today I made new version using elements I did yesterday.

If you are interested how it's done. It's just made from fractals, fractals, fractals. There were 3 base fractal textures (from apophysis) and I duplicated them, edited them and mask them over and over again. If I shoud guess, I think there are approx. 150 fractal duplicates.

I dare to name it Kraken, though Kraken is supposed to be 'sea monster', but.. universe is kind of see as well and my first thought of name was Octopus, but I think it doesn't quite cut it
