Long time ago I wanted try some Fire vs. Water, but I had not courage enough to realize it. Yesterday at night I got this idea - Arm Wrestling where one hand is from fire and the other from water. 
It's not any epic fire vs. water fight (maybe I'll do something in future), but the idea is there.
Well, thinking about that, who do you think would win? Yes, water is quenching the fire, but due to the quesch, the water is vaporizing, so there might be no water and no fire either in the end. But I actually think, water would win, although damaged.

Intersting concept. Before reading you description, I rather saw ICE than water (even if ice is solid water). Maybe a lack of some drops of water?
